The routers are distributed in Australia by PC Range.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11n draft protocol, due to be finalised next year, promises wireless speeds up to 300Mbps, three times farther than current WiFi networks.

The draft Standard uses multiple wireless antennas to transmit and receive data, and to co-ordinate simultaneous radio signals to increase the network’s range and speed.

The Billion BiPAC 5200N Draft 802.11n ADSL2+ firewall router, which retails for $189, is designed for home users who want high-speed 802.11n wireless links with better coverage while maintaining high-level security for their ADSL2+ broadband service.

Three built-in antennas manage wireless signals, automatically adjusting to establish an optimal link if obstacles are detected.
