Legrand has announced that QMotion director of product marketing Charlie Derk (pictured) will take on an additional role leading product and marketing strategy for the company’s luxury residential lighting control brand Vantage.

Charlie has 22 years experience in the luxury residential market, focusing exclusively on lighting control and automated shading products. He will, in particular, be keen to advance upon the ongoing interest in the health and wellness category of residential and commercial lighting markets, focusing on the role lighting and shading solutions can play moving forward.

“Legrand employs some of the brightest product teams in the world, and we are going to leverage the investment that the company has made to reimagine what the next generation of wellness solutions will look like,” he says.

“This will allow our customers to transform the way their end users interact with their homes.”

Charlie has been leading the product and marketing efforts at QMotion since 2018. Legrand’s shading and residential control vice president and general manager Amy Hahne says that “the addition of Vantage will let Legrand better serve its customers, focusing on a complete residential lighting control solution that incorporates both natural and artificial sources.”

“Combining our luxury lighting and shading brands under one marketing strategy enables us to bring a truly unique experience to our customers and, ultimately, end users,” she adds.

“I’m excited to have Charlie leading the way.”
