COVID-19 forces Integrate postponement

The latest event to suffer disruption as a result of COVID-19 is this year’s Integrate trade show, due to take place from 19 to 21 August in Sydney.

Diversified Communications announced today (Wednesday, March 18) that after weeks of monitoring the evolving situation, and consulting with partners and the industry, they had made the difficult decision to postpone the event.

They said: “We put our customers at the heart of what we do and this decision has been particularly difficult due to the importance of this event to our industry. Many companies rely on it to meet new and important customers.”

However, government recommendations on social distancing, travel restrictions, and the logistics of running such an event have made postponement unavoidable.

“We are in uncharted territory and carrying on with the current dates would not be in the best interests of you or the rest of our community. We are committed to finding a solution to deliver an event in Sydney this year, to ensure business continuity to the AV industry. Details on when and where will be communicated directly to you in the next month.”

They said they understood and appreciated the level of planning required to attend Integrate and thanked all those due to attend for their support and patience, and vowed to continue to support the AV community.

“The strength of this community will persevere beyond Coronavirus (COVID-19).”
