CEDIA on the main stage at ISE 2020

Throughout ISE 2020, CEDIA will not only be running a full professional development program but will be hosting a number of 30-minute presentations and panel discussions for visitors. Completely free to attend inside the show, topics will include 5G and Edge Computing, human centric design and biophilia/wellness.

All taking place at the ISE Main Stage located in Hall 14, the presentations are as follows:

Tuesday 11 February, 5G and Edge Computing hosted by John Penney – 11am to 12pm

Media and tech expert John Penney has more than 20 years experience in enterprise strategy development and delivery, strategic partnerships and operational management for notable media and media technology-related companies.

His aptitude in identifying business opportunities, innovating new business models and driving revenue growth with give a unique insight into the world when driven by 5G and edge computing.

Wednesday 12 February, Human Centric Design hosted by Peter Aylett and Rich Green – 12 to 12:30pm

Peter Aylett, president and CTO of Archimedia and Rich Green of Rich Green Design, will speak on how human centric design can be applied to more than just lighting. How can integrators and AV professionals design custom systems for clients that require you to think more like an anthropologist and less like an engineer.

Wednesday 12 February, Home Theatre Design hosted by Nic Black, James Ratcliffe and Christopher Mullins – 12:30 to 1pm

Nic from The Pyramid Group, James from Homeplay and Christopher form Sony Professional Solutions Europe dive into what it takes to make an award-winning, reference-grade dedicated home cinema. Learn what the best in the business do throughout the entire home theatre process including discovery, the build and into final calibration.

Thursday 13th February, Future of Smart Home hosted by Michael Sherman and Simon Fulstow – 12:30–1pm

What’s next when it comes to whole-home integration? The question that is always being asked will continue to be answered.

Two award-winning integrators in Michael from Henri and Simon from SONA go through what’s working, what’s not and what’s sure to happen next.

Thursday 13th February, Wellness and Biophilia hosted by Jeff Hayward and Cinzia Moretti – 2 to 2:30pm

The two panellists, Jeff Hayward form Wildwood Pr and Cinzia Moretti of Moretti Interior Design shares their insights into the growing space of wellness and biophilia and the opportunities for integrators. Together, they look at what concepts and solutions can make for a better, more ‘human’ indoor experience.

Friday 14th February, AR/VR/XR hosted by Rich Green – 10:30 to 11am

Rich Green again takes to the Main Stage, this time giving his thoughts on XR or extended reality, an umbrella term that includes elements of AR, VR and MR to create a user experience like none other. Rich gives his insights on what technological developments like these will have on entertainment, assisted living, user interfaces and more.

Friday 14th February, Designing MDUs hosted by Eddie Shapiro and Chris Knight – 11 to 11:30am

And last but not least, Eddie Shapiro from SmartTouchUSA and Chris Knight from Perfect Integration takes to the Main Stage to discuss the challenges that multiple dwelling units present. They tackle how to make a user-friendly, customisable and repeatable system.
