AudioControl adds Monitor Audio to Sound Partners Program

AudioControl, which is distributed in Australia by Synergy Audio and in NZ by AVA Pacific, has announced the addition of Monitor Audio, which is distributed in NZ by Denco, to its Sound Partners Program (SPP). SPP was established as a cooperative initiative with industry-leading architectural speaker manufacturers to implement optimised performance profiles as defined by each brand’s engineers.

When stored in the DSP onboard the AudioControl Director M-Series of high-performance 8 and 16-channel amplifiers, these profiles create the ultimate whole-house entertainment/commercial audio platform for professional integrators.

The DSP profiles are available for Monitor Audio CLG140 and CLG160 garden speakers and the recently unveiled IV140 in-wall/in-ceiling architectural speaker system. Integrators using AudioControl DSP-enabled Director M-Series amplifiers, as well as any of these Monitor Audio loudspeaker models, will be able to deliver an unmatched entertainment system for their clients thanks to the profiles and the fine tuning capabilities.

“We are excited to work with the team at Monitor Audio and welcome them as new members of our Sound Partners Program,” said AudioControl CEO Alex Camara.

“The SPP provides professional integrators with the tools they need to differentiate themselves in a competitive market while delivering superb sound quality to their clients.”

Any of eight analogue or two digital inputs can be routed to any zone output thanks to the matrixing capabilities of the Director M-Series.

The 2U M-Series M6400 and M6800 both include two digital SPDIF inputs and two SPDIF outputs that are tied to the matrix. This means any one of the input sources can be routed through the digital outputs. These digital outputs can then be connected to the digital outputs on additional M-Series amplifiers, allowing integrators to use multiple amplifiers and assign input signal routing as needed.

The Director M-Series is expanding with two additional new models in the coming weeks, including a 1U, 8-channel solution called the M4800.

All models are capable of 100W per channel at 8Ω, 200W at 4Ω and 400W bridged.

M-Series amplifiers can be used as a standalone matrix-amplifier or as part of a third party control system from companies including Crestron, Savant and Control 4. They offer powerful DSP-based functionality as well as AudioControl’s legendary sound quality.
