ZyCast Technology, a Taiwanese manufacturer of RF and video broadcast technologies, has announced the acquisition of Melbourne-based video distribution and IR control manufacturer, resi-linx by Vcomm.

Established in 1997, ZyCast has a long history of working with resi-linx, most recently as the OEM of the popular digi-MOD and linx-IR solutions.

The handover will occur with immediate effect.

The new company, resi-linx by ZyCast, will be headed up in Australia by former Vcomm business development manager Jason Crabtree.

“The acquisition of resi-linx was the next logical step for ZyCast as it continues its rapid growth in the Asia Pacific region,” Jason said.

“resi-linx is a well-established brand with a very loyal customer base. Our job now is to further build on the work the company has already done to better service our Australian and New Zealand customers.

“ZyCast will work closely with existing dealers of resi-linx products to ensure their and their customers’ needs are being met. ZyCast has a long history of market-leading customer service and that will be continued in the A/NZ region.”

resi-linx by Vcomm was founded in the early 2000s. Today, it is widely recognised as the leader of the AV distribution industry in A/NZ.

“We are thrilled to introduce ZyCast to the A/NZ marketplace at such an exciting time in its evolution,” said Vcomm chief executive Mark Lissek.

“ZyCast has the right products, people and culture to make this deal a success for everyone involved.”
