Meridian Audio now offers a full range of Cinema–ATS solutions of acoustic treatments for home cinemas.

Meridian director of marketing Rayner Sheridan says the partnership is an exciting step for the company which is looking to expand its cinema portfolio.

“Cinema–ATS allows us to expand our offerings to dealers so that we can provide a comprehensive acoustic treatment solution for home cinemas, in addition to a range of projectors from Barco Residential and our own audio systems,” he says.

“We are really excited to be able to expand our product offering to include this innovative technology and look forward to working with dealers on some exciting home cinema projects.”

Cinema–ATS solutions have been designed to address the three ‘R’s’ of acoustics: resonance, reverberation and reflection with solutions for walls and ceiling.

The range includes scattering panels to optimise reverberation and reflection and the Multipanel, a dual purpose absorber which addresses resonance. The panels are 50mm deep which is much shallower than conventional acoustic systems. This significantly increases the range of projects where the system can be installed, as many home cinema owners are unwilling to sacrifice the space required for conventional, deeper acoustic treatments.

The panels come in packs with guidelines to help facilitate a successful install.  Meridian also offers a complimentary design and specification service to assist dealers in planning their project schemes as efficiently and accurately as possible.

Cinema–ATS spokesman Neil Davidson says Meridian shares the same passion as Cinema–ATS for creating the ultimate experience for customers.

“We noticed there was a real gap in the market for a high performance acoustic solution that was easy to install and found that dealers were getting frustrated with rigid, complex and expensive systems prescribed by acoustic consultants, which often resulted in products being used that were not right for the application,” he says.
