Twelve years ago, Extron Electronics entered the control systems market place and since then the manufacturer has been expanding its range quite rapidly.

Now the company is introducing several new eBUS button panels for mounting in EU and MK-type wall frames and Flex55 enclosures.

The panels connect to an IPCP PRO control processor to perform a wide variety of AV system functions such as power on/off, input switching, volume control and more.

Featuring customisable, backlit soft-touch buttons, the panels have a very user-friendly interface.

The models features two eBUS ports for system expansion and are linked to the control processor and to each other using a single cable that carries power and communication.

For worldwide applications, the EU versions are compatible with Flex55 modules, mounting kits, and enclosures.

“These new EU and MK eBUS panels expand system functionality and increase control system design options,” says Extron vice president of sales and marketing Casey Hall.

“With the introduction of 19 new button panels to our eBUS family, AV system designers can now choose from over two dozen convenient and cost-effective options for AV system control.”

Among the 19 new eBUS button panels are four models for Décora wallplates – the EBP 106P D, EBP 108 D, EBP 110 D and EBP 111 D.

“These new Décora eBUS panels expand system functionality and increase control system design options,” Casey says.

“This brings our customers 27 convenient, stylish and cost-effective control options for AV source selection, display power, volume for both microphone and other sources.”

As always, Extron has kept integrators in mind while designing the new products, the eBUS technology is based on a unique digital bus architecture that allows for easy control system expansion, greater design options and future upgrades.

As with the TouchLink Pro touch panels, eBUS button panels are designed for use with any Extron IPCP Pro Series control processor. A single eBUS button panel can be used as the AV control interface for a smaller system or multiple button panels and touch panels may be combined when a more elaborate control system is required.

eBUS button panels come in industry-standard form factors and multiple units may be linked together by a single cable that carries both power and communication.

Extron have maintained a similar look with its latest offerings, meaning a seamless aesthetic can be achieved alongside Extron’s range of MediaLink controllers and eBUS button panels.
