Uniden release Guardian App Cam series for smartphones and tablets
Unlike other internet protocol cameras, which require time-consuming, complicated installation, the Uniden App Cams offer a simple set-up for instant use.
Ideal for monitoring both the inside and outside of properties, the Uniden Guardian App Cam enables users to plug and play a camera when connected wirelessly via a Wi-Fi connection. The Guardian App Cam operates with ease thanks to a free downloadable app for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, available through the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores. The app also allows users to record and watch files remotely from a smartphone or tablet device.
As an extension to Uniden’s popular DIY Guardian wireless surveillance series, the App Cam range consists of two standalone HD camera models providing the clearest surveillance footage available. The weatherproof design of the App Cam 25, suitable for outdoor use, and the indoor App Cam 26 offer tailored solutions for monitoring interior and exterior areas of residential dwellings and small businesses.

Simply connect the standalone App Cam camera directly to a smartphone or tablet via a Wi-Fi network for around-the-clock access to footage from virtually any location. Users can also access the free Guardian app – available from the Apple App and Google Play stores – to view and record footage remotely.
The new App Cam series records footage in HD 720p high quality video and still images, and can be stored via a micro SD card slot. Each of the new cameras has ultra-night vision with infrared LEDs on camera lens to deliver clear footage, even in dim lighting.
The App Cam 26 also has a walkie talkie function, allowing users to communicate through the indoor camera and the Guardian app using their smartphone or tablet. The App Cam 26 also has a pan and tilt function allowing users to view wide areas and control the camera wirelessly using the free app and a smartphone or tablet.
