“Ultra HD will be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, talking points of this year’s Expo, so it’s the perfect platform to introduce our latest Ultra HD matrix technology,” Leaf chief executive Dean Vaughan says.

“With HDCP 2.2 being included in the revised CEA core characteristics for Ultra High-Definition (UHD) TVs, monitors and projectors for residential compatible Ultra HD installations from June of this year, this feature is now absolutely essential for UHD deployment in the home. Our new, feature-rich range will provide exactly what the market needs, it’s a huge game-changer for the product category, for installers and their customers. We’re tremendously excited and can’t wait to reveal all on the opening day of the Expo.”

The new Leaf Ultra HD range will comprise both HDBaseT Class A and Class B models with POH. Available features will also include coaxial digital audio inputs, multi-zone variable line level audio outputs with full bass and treble control and variable audio delay for lip-sync correction. Sleek, ultra compact POH HDBaseT receivers for easy installation will also be part of the new range. Leaf has also revealed that it will be building on this platform with full DD 5.1 down-mixing models coming in Q2 2015.
