RTI announces new SnapAV drivers
Developed by RTI, the new drivers simplify the integration of the popular surveillance solutions into RTI’s control systems through efficient programming during installation, while providing full control, convenient viewing of surveillance video, and powerful automation functionality to the end user.
RTI’s Wirepath PTZ camera driver provides direct pan, tilt, and zoom control of up to 24 indoor and outdoor IP cameras via any RTI wired or wireless user interface, including the RTiPanel app. Viewing live surveillance video is as convenient as selecting a camera from a scrolling list and recalling up to 256 preset camera positions. In addition, with support for jpeg image capturing, the driver allows users to view each camera directly on their Ethernet-enabled RTI controller. The resulting interface also enables powerful automation functionality, allowing the Wirepath IP cameras to trigger events on the RTI system, such as turning on outdoor lights or sending an email based on motion sensing, input sensing, and video loss notifications.
The RTI Wirepath DVR/NVR driver provides users with reliable control over the recording and playback functions of SnapAV’s surveillance video recorders via RS-232 and IP. Similar to the PTZ camera driver, additional functionality is available when a Wirepath NVR is controlled via IP. This enables RTI processors to receive notifications from the video recorder — including motion sensing, input sensing, and video loss — allowing installers to program automatic events.

“With home automation becoming more common, it’s essential that our surveillance solutions tightly integrate with popular control systems, without burdening installers with complicated and time-consuming programming,” SnapAV vice president of product, media, surveillance, networking and power G. Paul Hess says.
“RTI is the control solution of choice in many of today’s installations, so we couldn’t be more excited to add the company to our growing list of automation partners.”
“By offering seamless integration of SnapAV’s Wirepath cameras and recorders into an RTI control system, it’s now easier than ever for installers to provide their customers with intuitive control over their security on the same interface they use to control every other aspect of their home,” RTI vice president of sales and marketing Pete Baker says.
“From advanced image capturing to event programming, this is an extremely sophisticated driver, and we are very proud of the powerful control experience it offers users.”
