Already a well-known figure in the residential custom installation sector, Steve has over twenty years’ experience in product development at JVC. He will be tasked with helping CEDIA to build closer relationships with the membership and forge new partnerships with key industry representatives throughout the UK.

“We are excited to welcome Steve on board in this brand new role,” CEDIA Region 1 (UK, Europe, the CIS, Middle East, Africa, India and Pakistan) executive director Wendy Griffiths says.

“CEDIA is growing fast. Alongside on-going activities and education programmes, we have many exciting ideas and initiatives to share with the industry, designed to take us forward. Enjoying close relationships with the industry so that we can communicate these opportunities effectively, build consensus and ensure that we continue to represent our industry. This will be Steve’s top priority and, with his experience, connections and knowledge of the CI sector, he’s perfect for this role. We are delighted to have him on the team.”

In further recognition of CEDIA’s growth, it has appointed Alex Brownhill as membership development officer. Alex will be responsible for maintaining good relationships with existing members and growing the membership across CEDIA Region 1. She replaces Hannah Dixon who has taken on greater responsibility within CEDIA for its outreach activities with interior designers, architects and housebuilders. CEDIA membership currently stands at an all-time high with the Association representing 600 companies across the Region.
