New Panasonic air conditioners
The 2013 range features an updated ECONAVI sensor that uses a combination of intelligent sensors to reduce energy wastage and save money on the household’s power bill.
The newest reverse cycle air conditioners also feature Panasonic’s new Nanoe-G Air Purifying System that deactivates unwanted airborne, surface-based and in-filter particles.
Panasonic Australia air conditioning group marketing manager Matthew Harrison says, “Australia is set to have one of the hottest summers in history. The smart technologies in our new range of energy-efficient Panasonic air conditioners will help keep Australians cool, while also keeping the power bill down.”

Advanced energy efficiency with ECONAVI and Inverter
The latest ECONAVI technology uses human activity, sunlight and temperature sensors to intelligently adapt the cooling power according to the room conditions. With just one touch of a button, customers can enjoy energy savings of up to 38% on cooling mode and up to 45% on heating mode.
For optimum energy saving, the area search mode uses two human activity sensors that detect activity in the room and direct cooling to the occupied area. The low activity detection mode monitors movement in the room and decreases cooling when there is low activity, while the absence detection feature switches to a slightly less powerful cooling mode when there is no one in the room. The smart sunlight detection feature detects sunlight intensity and adjusts cooling power accordingly. The new temperature wave feature uses input from other sensors to moderate the temperature, effectively balancing energy savings and comfort.
In addition to ECONAVI, Panasonic’s Inverter System makes constant adjustments to provide optimum performance at all times. This extremely precise operation enables quick cooling when needed while reducing power consumption compared to conventional non-Inverter units.
Nanoe-G Air Purifying System and Mild Dry Cooling function
Panasonic’s revolutionary nanoe-G feature provides the ultimate peace of mind, utilising nano-technology to eliminate micro-organisms in the home. This active air purifying system removes 99% of airborne bacteria, viruses and mould, and catches and deactivates 99% of bacteria and viruses on surfaces and in the filter, resulting in a cleaner and healthier home. The air purifying feature works hand in hand with the Mild Dry Cooling function, which reduces unwanted side effects of air conditioning such as dry skin and mouths by maintaining the level of air moisture in the room.
Designed to withstand the harsh Australian climate
No matter how scorching hot or freezing cold it gets outside, the latest Panasonic air conditioners will keep customers comfortable and can cope with outdoor temperatures as high as 46°C or low as -15°C.
Award-winning design
The latest Panasonic air conditioners boast an award-winning design with a stylishly clean, slimline look and ventless intake grill that makes the units easier to clean – perfect for the modern Australian home. Panasonic has also launched five new cooling only models as part of its extensive air conditioning range.
