Accentuating its minimalist form, music (and other audio) can be wirelessly streamed to the ISX-B820 from any Bluetooth-enabled device including a smartphone, tablet or laptop.

Coupled with its sleek yet inconspicuous design, the ISX-B820 seamlessly brings music to any room without the need to ‘plug in’. The ability to wirelessly connect adds a new dimension of practicality and convenience. Streaming audio without the need for a wireless network also ensures a broad appeal to an increasing number of listeners who are looking for connectivity, simplicity and performance.

The ability to integrate with handheld devices extends even further with the introduction of a new (and free) app from Yamaha. DTA Controller provides enhanced functionality including multi-day alarm programming and fine-tuning of Yamaha’s exclusive IntelliAlarm
technology which gently wakens its audience with music that gradually increases in volume while high frequencies are eased in to avoid an abrupt start to the day.

“Users are coming to expect more from their audio systems,” says Yamaha Music Australia product manager Wesley Fischer.

“Not only do they have to perform and look the part, but they also have to integrate with their phone or tablet.”

The top of the unit features a single slot CD player which supports audio, MP3 and WMA CDs, as well as a FM tuner, USB input (MP3 and WMA) and 3.5mm aux input for devices without Bluetooth plus a 30-pin dock connection.

Measuring in at a depth of just 9cm for the main body, the ISX-B820 sits flush against a wall making use of its half-moon shaped stand. For
those wanting to mount onto a wall, an optional bracket, the AT-800, is available.

Inheriting the grille fascia of its predecessor, the ISX-B820 utilises a two-way, four speaker system comprised of dual 10cm full range drivers and 3cm soft dome tweeters to deliver Yamaha’s trademark audio performance.

A distinctive clock continues to feature prominently and provides a choice of two display options with an auto dimmer function to adjust to room’s lighting conditions.
