According to Amber Technology General Manager of Lifestyle Entertainment Phil Simmons, “The decision to part ways with a highly renowned brand was a difficult one to make, and one that was not taken lightly.”

“We have been successfully representing Meridian for 25 years, but recent changes to the company’s product set has limited its ability to integrate with other equipment, which is imperative in our business. We felt Meridian no longer fitted within our business model,” Mr Simmons adds

“Maintaining the professional integrity of Amber Technology and its position at the forefront of the custom industry is paramount. Of course we are sad to see Meridian go, but that’s the business we are in.

“Finding the right product mix is always a challenge, and we are fortunate to have some of the best brands in the world with fantastic supplier/distributor relationships. We like to think that at any one time, we have the best products available for any purpose in the markets we service.”

Amber’s Custom division is currently experiencing continued growth and prime market share with its Integra receiver and Sonance architectural speaker ranges, with manufacturers ranking as the number 1 preferred choice of brands among Australia’s integrators and custom AV installers.

Amber Technology will continue to offer service and support to existing Meridian dealers while a new distributor is found.
