Philips to showcase products at Grand Designs Live 2012
With products that take advantage of the features and benefits of next generation LED, as well as applications that make controlling the lighting in your home easier, the future of home lighting from Philips is visual, customisable, and controlled at the touch of a fingertip.
Philips Arcitone Concept product – not available in Australia
Inspired by bold, minimalist lines of architectural aesthetics, and in keeping with the modern design of the House of the Future, Philips Arcitone is the next generation of LED lighting. The range utilises compact LEDs which allowed Philips more creative flexibility,
resulting in a unique statement of design.

Philips Arcitone feature High Power LED, which save up to 80% of energy compared to traditional light sources and offer high light output. They also include the latest innovation in LED lighting: a flat, anti-glare LED disc, which allows for a high light output with minimal strain on
the eyes.
Philips LumaLive
The House of the Future’s Living Room will feature the Philips LumaLive, a luminous textile that can enhance interiors with light texture and dynamic content.
Integrating multi-coloured LEDs within textile panels, the LumaLive allows for creative freedom through the size, number of panels, texture, colour and how they are arranged.
Each panel is built up of LED modules consisting of multi-colour LEDs with a 60mm pitched fixed on acoustic foam. The driver box and power supply are integrated in the panel so installation is dramatically simplified. The only connections required are a standard power cable and an Ethernet cable to upload and manage the dynamic content and connect the system to, for example, building management systems.
Unlike hard materials like glass, concrete and steel that can create acoustic problems, luminous textile helps to dampen noise and soften echoes, playing a practical as well as decorative role.
For example, one huge mood wall can be created as a dramatic backdrop to a room; the rise of a staircase can be followed with staggered panels, or individual panels can be scattered across a wall and content spread across it.
Philips EnvisionTouch
Philips EnvisionTouch truly is control at your fingertips – an application designed to make full use of the large screen of an iPad or Android device, giving users control of their lighting and other home systems.
Home owners can select preset lighting configurations, turn lights on and off, or manually adjust dimming settings. In addition, it allows control of both HVAC systems and blinds, such as adjusting heating and cooling and blind position through preset selections or manual adjustment. All controls are simple to operate and never require more than a simple tap of the screen.
Not only does it allow control from anywhere in the house, but also away from the home or while travelling.
