OPOC Solutions has been announced as the Australian distributor for Octava Pure Digital products.

OPOC Solutions is a specialist in AV, IT and electrical design, custom integration, automation and consulting and owner and director Orville Dave says that the company has been using Octava products for a number of years.

“I approached them 2 years ago when I first discovered them. I made some enquiries, began purchasing products and after many discussions managed to secure the distribution rights,” he says.

The Octava 4×4 HDMI – Ethernet Cat 5/6 matrix switch (pictured) allows you to route four HD sources to any four HD displays over HDMI or Cat 5/6 Ethernet cables. The 4×4 HDMI matrix allows 256 viewing combination of four HD sources on four HDTV’s. In addition, Infrared Extension allows IR signals to be sent from viewing area to the equipment room over Cat 5/6 Cables.

“The product itself is not comparable with anything else on the market. Octava only has a few products but these are unique because they can split the audio with no amplifier.

“If you have an integration job in which you want to separate the audio from the HDMI this is the product.

“I am flying to Taiwan soon to visit the manufacturing base to give my insight and give my input into what is required in Australia – Australia is very different to other countries, the application can be the same, but there may be need for other products. There are certain circumstances where certain products are not familiar or popular in other countries such as the US but they may be required here.”

OPOC is in the middle of talks with CEDIA to secure a stand and is also on the lookout for prospective sub dealers to sell the product.
