Quantum Data has announced two new 780 series models—the 780AH and the 780BH Video Generator/Analysers with support for HDCP 2.2 testing for HDMI 2.0 Ultra HD sources and sinks. The 780AH will replace the 780A and the 780BH will replace the 780B model.

The HDCP 2.2 tests operate essentially the same as the HDCP 1.4 tests on the 780 series instruments. A single button push initiates the tests. Pass/fail indication is presented on screen. The Auxiliary Channel Analyser (ACA) utility supports the monitoring of the HDCP 2.2 transactions in the same way the HDCP 1.4 transactions are monitored.

An upgrade program is available for existing 780A and 780B owners. Since the upgrade will require a new circuit board, the units will have to be returned to Quantum Data for the upgrade. For details on the upgrade program please contact your Quantum Data distributor or representative.
