The home located in the riverside suburb of Dalkeith combines the best in eco design, fine finishes and incredible attention to detail.

Technology also plays a key role in the home and was designed by custom installer Surround Sounds whom partnered with the builder from the get go to design and install a comprehensive integrated solution for the home.

The judges said, “The home is a clever example of the subtle balance required between contemporary architectural proportion and material selections. The combinations of stone, timber and glass used throughout the home create a truly uplifting home without being overly pretentious or ostentatious. The builder has shown incredible attention to detail in all aspects of the home. Designed with the correct solar orientation, and using appropriate shading devices this home is suited to the inside/outside alfresco living of the Perth climate. The home also features a rainwater harvesting system. It surpasses the 6 star energy rating criteria.”

Complimented technology forming part of the home includes Crestron automation, C-Bus lighting control, energy monitoring, ip cctv, security, pabx telephone system, access control, a structured cable network, distributed audio, motorised concealment and extensive home entertainment zones including theatre.

The automation system coordinates security, lighting, shading, water features, pool, climate control, CCTV, access control and rain water harvesting.

Surround Sounds’ co-director Mark Jeisman says, “This is a rewarding testament to the effort invested by the all-in-house Surrounds team to deliver with precise detail and coordination.”
