Yamaha has announced the addition of two new models to its range of MusicCast products.

Set to make its public debut on 23 August at Integrate in Sydney, the EXPAND series establishes a brand new product category to feature the multi-room technology – enabling users to either connect their existing audio equipment to the MusicCast system or power their existing Speakers.

The EXPAND (WXC-50) brings multi-room functionality to existing amplifiers and AV receivers – regardless of whether they are capable of network connectivity.

Unlocking a wide variety of audio content such as music streaming services, the EXPAND also shares content with other MusicCast smart speakers and components via the intuitive app interface.

The EXPAND Amp (WXA-50) is a versatile 2.1 channel amplifier capable of converting any pair of speakers and subwoofer into a MusicCast-enabled audio solution.

Its compact design lends itself to being used for in-ceiling and outdoor speaker applications that would otherwise require long cable runs.

By simply adding the EXPAND Amp to a pair of existing speakers, users can wirelessly access their favourite music sources and share them throughout the home to other MusicCast smart speakers and components.
