Australian distributor, Hills has signed a new agreement with German audio manufacturer, Beyerdynamic.

The new agreement dictates Hills will retain exclusive distribution of Beyerdynamic’s professional audio, microphones and conferencing products but professional headphones and headsets will no longer be distributed by Hills.

This move is in line with Beyerdynamic’s global strategic push into the retail market.

Hills head of AV Dan Fletcher says the company recognises that mass retail is not the company’s core business.

“Our strength and our focus is the commercial audio and AV market. As we focus on growing our business in this area, we are thrilled to continue to offer Beyerdynamic’s pro audio conferencing and audio solutions to our customers.”

Solutions for Hills customers in the studio engineering and broadcast markets will continue to be serviced from other products in the Hills portfolio range.
