HARMAN has announced it’s expanding its presence of lifestyle audio solutions in Australia through a new distribution partnership with Ingram Micro.

HARMAN is entering a new distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, the largest wholesale technology distributor, to significantly expand and enhance the availability of HARMAN’s consumer brands, including JBL, Harman/Kardon, Infinity and AKG.

The partnership with Ingram Micro will bolster HARMAN’s brand presence with existing retail partners.

Following Convoy International’s new strategic focus on speciality audio, HARMAN will maintain an ongoing distribution partnership with the company for luxury audio categories and channels.

“Ingram Micro’s proven network and reach will be instrumental in improving our distribution of HARMAN’s lifestyle audio solutions and we look forward to continued growth here as we introduce new products and innovations in the coming months,” said HARMAN Asia Pacific vice president Mohit Parasher.

“HARMAN designs and engineers iconic audio brands such as JBL, Harman/Kardon, Infinity and AKG that are appreciated by a wide range of consumers, from audiophiles to the casual listener,” said Ingram Micro Australia managing director Matt Sanderson.

“We are excited for the opportunity to distribute HARMAN brands in Australia and we look forward to becoming a trusted partner as they continue to grow rapidly throughout the region.”

“We are pleased to continue our work with HARMAN, and remain passionate about distributing the premium and luxury audio equipment,” said Convoy International chief executive Geoff Matthews.

“As our company focuses more intently on speciality audio, having premium products in our portfolio certainly enhances the offering we can provide to our customers.”
