Ampetronic launches DSP networked hearing loop drivers
Audio system manufacturer, Ampetronic which is distributed by Jands, has launched a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) networkable driver range, called the D Series at ISE 2016.
The D Series consists of 10 and 14 amp dual output drivers. At a maximum of 14 amps per loop output the D14-2 driver is the most powerful product currently available and both drivers in the D Series are class “D” products; meaning a 60%+ increase in energy efficiency over existing solutions and unparalleled flexibility come as standard.
In another first for high-power Class D Induction Loop drivers, installation can be performed with confidence as unique multi stage filtering ensures compatibility with other system equipment as well as global EMC regulations.

Commissioning a system becomes more streamlined with our NEW D Series drivers; test tones are built in and the amplifiers can be controlled from any browser device with an internet browser over the network or via a WiFi router.
“We always had Hearing Loop products and support services that are regarded as the best in the industry; however our new D Series range of products not only cements our position as the market leader in the field of audio induction loop system design, but also establishes Ampetronic firmly as the market innovator. The amplifiers themselves are state-of-the-art, high output high efficiency class “D” drivers with digital display and touch controls and very clear simple user interface,” said Ampetronic managing director Julian Pieters.
“The network or WiFi connectivity revolutionises the process of setting up a loop system, as well as providing unique capability for remote control, maintenance and monitoring.”
Ampetronic supports the work of hearing loss charities and advocacy groups in the UK. One such organisation is Hearing Link, whose 2015 Hearing Loop awareness week highlighted the fact that many venues displaying Hearing Loop signs actually have poor working systems and sometimes, the loops aren’t even switched on.
The D Series revolutionises the way that venues can manage, maintain and control the Hearing Loops; the network can monitor driver and loop condition and performance, sending reports direct to our Loopworks portal via a cloud service. Venue operators can also be alerted to potential problems with a system by email and driver upgrades can be installed remotely.
“The potential for future integration of our new amplifiers with the Loopworks environment is huge,” said Ampetronic marketing and communications manager Alistair Knight.
“With the D Series, we have a digital, networkable solution that we can potentially control via the Loopworks Measure App.
“Making setting-up a system to perform to standard as simple as pressing a button for all users of Loopworks and owners of our D Series drivers.”
