Techstyle named NZ distributor of Airtopia
Melbourne-based start-up Airtopia (formally inIRt), which has taken the world by storm, has announced the appointment of Techstyle as its official distribution partner in New Zealand.
Airtopia was founded by Dominic Cannalonga, who wanted to solve a problem that existed globally in the home and office automation market: integrating split system air conditioners with automation solutions.
This has been a long-running problem that, in the past, has often produced unrewarding outcomes for integrators.

Techstyle’s Alex Pardington says: “We are really pleased to be associated with Dominic and the team at Airtopia. There has been a gap in this part of the HVAC interface market for years. As anyone who has tried knows, its just about impossible to learn the IR codes from air con remotes as they are simply too long and complex. Now there is an easy way to get it done and finally give the home owner/building manager control of all subsystems from your control system.”
The Airtopia box is installed alongside the indoor unit and provides control from any web enabled device via a responsively designed webpage. The unit also allows connection from and has drivers for Vantage, C-Bus, Control4, Crestron, RTI and many others.
