MuxLab enables greater compatibility between HDMI and audio devices
MuxLab, which is distributed by AV Group Technologies, premiered a number of new products at CEDIA 2017, including the HDMI Audio Extractor, AV over IP 4K/60 Uncompressed Extender, HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE Extender, HDMI 4×4 Matrix, HDMI 8×8 Matrix and HDMI/RS232 Extender Kit.
The HDMI Audio Extractor provides one HDMI input/output that connects an AV source to its display, supporting 4K@60Hz on the output with 8-bit colour and HD audio. Digital audio is extracted from Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Digital Plus and Atmos formats and delivered via a TosLink port. LPCM audio is extracted and delivered as two-channel analogue audio via a 3.5mm audio port.
The AV over IP 4K/60 Uncompressed Extender sends HDMI and DisplayPort video at 4K@60Hz to hundreds of source and display destinations via a 10Gig Ethernet switch. Integrators can create 4K video walls, virtual matrix switch and splitter configurations using one receiver for each display. Equipment on both sender and receiver sides can be connected up to 330ft from the 10Gig Ethernet switch via CAT5e/6 cable for added convenience.
The HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE Extender supports HDMI at 4K@60Hz using CAT5e/6 cable in a point-to-point configuration. When connected to an Ethernet network, point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations are established in a low bandwidth, expandable and cost effective manner, leveraging the existing network cable infrastructure.
This product boasts exceptionally low bandwidth requirements, allowing AV streaming anywhere via local Ethernet networks, WiFi or internet connectivity. The transmitter accepts a 1080p@60Hz input and streams content to the receiver, where the signal is scaled up to 4K@60Hz. The receiver also accepts H.264/H.265 video streams from other devices up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) and supports a USB 3.0 Type A connector for storing and playback of content from an external USB drive.
The new HDMI 4×4 Matrix and HDMI 8×8 Matrix, 4K/60 connect either four or eight HDMI sources to four or eight displays. Both support up to 4K@60Hz plus all 3D formats on every HDMI output for true 4K/60 performance. Independent EDID control allows individual output scaling to achieve a perfect matrix system even when using displays that support different maximum resolutions. Every source is accessible at any time by any display in the matrix.
MuxLab’s new HDMI/RS232 Extender Kit, HDBT, connects a 4K@60Hz AV source to its HDMI display up to 131ft in distance using one CAT5e/6 cable or up to 230ft at 1080p. RS-232 and bidirectional IR travel along the same cable allowing for remote control of the source equipment through the displays. This extender provides a simple method of point-to-point AV extension with high quality output for true remote 4K/60 performance.
